Hi, Iām Jo McKenzie, founder of Envisage Beauty
I believe in making a difference to the way women feel about themselves. When we look good, we feel good. By taking care of ourselves, we Ā feel more confident and this overflows to every aspect of our lives.
I have been involved in the beauty industry for over 3 decades and truly love seeing the difference I can make in peoplesā lives. I started my career teaching skincare, make-up and beauty, and worked in leading salons in and around Melbourne. My dream was always to open my own salon, and offer state of the art beauty treatments to my clients, in a space where they can feel relaxed and cared for.
Envisage Beauty opened in 2002 and since then I have had the great pleasure of meeting and looking after the needs of ladies from eastern suburbs of Melbourne as well as inner Melbourne and regional VIC.
I am a beauty expert committed to great results and great relationships. With my wealth of experience and state of the art techniques, my clients can trust they are receiving the best professional advice and treatment.
In 2018, I achieved a personal goal to become a published author with the release of my book āEnvisage Your Beauty Businessā. Ā This book was written to inspire others and share my knowledge on how to run a successful and professional salon business from home. Ā
In 2020 I participated in my second book venture with 9 other authors in a collaborative book called āChange is not a scary wordā. In this book, 10 influencers of change come together to share our personal stories and insights of change and transformation to encourage readers that change is a positive thing.

Last week I celebrated a milestone birthday.
Let`s just say there was a 6 in there somewhere š
As I`ve gotten older, one thing I`ve come to appreciate more than ever is that looking and feeling good isn`t about just one thing.
Healthy ageing is a collection of all the little things we do every day that compound and add up over time.
After 35,000 skin treatments and 30+ years working with women, here are a few things I`ve learned along the way:
āØ Your health is your greatest asset.
āØ Consistency beats perfection. I try to live by the 80/20 rule and focus on getting the basics right most of the time.
āØ You can`t pour from an empty cup. Looking after yourself isn`t selfishāit`s essential.
āØ Protect your peace. Not every battle needs to be fought.
āØ Spend time with people you love and do more of what lights you up.
āØ When you look good, you feel goodāand when you feel good, it flows into every area of your life.
āØ It`s never too late to start looking after yourself, make changes, learn something new, feel better, become stronger, or create the next chapter.
You don`t have to change everything at once.
Start with one small thing.
One walk.
One healthier meal.
One earlier night.
One simple act of self-care ā even if it`s just taking a few minutes for your daily skincare ritual.
Small, consistent actions create remarkable change that you can see and feel.
The women who seem to glow often aren`t the ones chasing perfection.
They`re the ones who have found a balance that allows them to enjoy life while still taking care of themselves.
Because no one is coming to do that for us.
It`s up to each of us to create a life that feels good to live.
And honestly, I think that`s one of the greatest gifts that comes with getting older. š
